Why Local?

The Yellowbird Foodshed partners with a network of small, sustainable farms (150 miles of Columbus, Ohio) in order to provide a direct connection from the farm to your table. Through the weekly food box program, we give the community a convenient way to access fresh, local food and have a true connection between farm to fork.

How it Works

We work hard to make our Weekly Food Box program as convenient and worry-free as possible. In four easy steps, you can be all signed up and ready to receive your Weekly Food Box share of fresh, local produce. Pick the time and place and we will meet you there.

The Yellowbird Foodshed partners with a network of small, sustainable farms to provide Ohio with fresh, quality food that is grown with intention. You should know where your food is coming from and we want to provide a clear connection from farm to fork.

How We Define Agriculture

sustainable Practices that grow food the way nature intended in a diverse and healthy environment without the use of chemical-based agriculture.

local  Good food that is sourced within 150 miles of Columbus, Ohio.

fresh  Products full of flavor and texture because they are harvested at their peak and delivered directly to the community.

clean  Varieties that are not sprayed with synthetic insecticides or pesticides.

fair  Food that is produced by ethical farms that are committed to paying their workers a fair wage.

Weekly Food Box

• PTO will receive 10% from each sale
• Pickup will be every Friday between 3:15 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at  Billman’s Sunoco on Henderson Rd

Options:

MINI-  $25/ box 5- 8 varieties of seasonal Ohio produce, vegetables, and fruits, all recently harvested
BASE – $35/ box 8-12 varieties ( Great for small family)
FULL – $45/ box 12-16 varieties (Great for larger families, veg lovers and juicers!)
